On Friday, the FDA approved a new anti-obesity medication, Wegovy, which is being heralded as a “game changer” due to its average weight loss of 14.9% at 68 weeks. Obesity has received increased attention in the news due to the Covid Pandemic and the strong evidence that obesity worsened the disease.
